This is my favorite rig so far. I own several condor rigs and plate carriers, and the recon suits me best. Its integrated mag pouch holds 8 m4 mags (6 in front and 2 secret side pockets) and 6 pistol mags. No messing with molle straps/buttons, and everything fits tight and secure. Im 5'9 160 and I have to adjust straps way down so there s a lot of loose strap which you have to figure out what to do, but i was able to secure the looses ends with all the velcro involved. I could also trim the straps nonetheless I can see this fitting a 6 foot 230 person no problem. I should mention I use this for paintball and the mags are polymer, but I've had no problems losing mags diving through windows or crawling through brush. I attach a molle dump pouch and when I went to attach a single mag pouch in the side, I was pleasantly surprised to find each side has a built in hidden mag pocket for one m4 mag. I love that there are no molle buttons popping off here and there. And its more low profile and lighter than anything else I own that can carry 8 mags without extra attachments. I wanted to mention that I can throw this either over a t shirt or a winter bdu setup. The velcro in front is exposed once you remove the pistol mag covers (which I dont use) leaving a 2" velcro bar for patches. These also help keep the whole rig more secure. Great product. If your much smaller than me the condor chest panel runs a little smaller, and you attach your on molle to that.
Ordered two of these for the boys, they work great for the AR and P320 magazines. Even with the lockdown, they got the rigs out and to me a day earlier than expected. Looking to add some more items and will definitely be using Mad City Outdoor Gear.
I found Mad City Outdoor online looking for a local business to purchase Condor recon vest and save shipping, if possible. I ordered the vest online and picked it up vest at the store. The vest was high quality, fit perfectly and comfortably! I have visited several times for boots, etc. Lots of quality brand gear products. Magazine pouches, clothing, etc. A nice resource close by. Highly recommend them! Support your local businesses!
this is an excellent piece of equipment and is very well made and very well priced. I saw in the review where someone was commenting on it being " loose" fitting. The rig is made to go over existing garments. Like law enforcement would throw this on in an active shooter over a uniform with a bulky vest. Military would utilize this over various gear depending on the mission load out.
If you want the rig to be stand alone take the rear belt to a tailor and cut sew it to any desired length or maybe enough people could contact the people at Mad City and for a few dollars more they could include a second smaller belt and sell more products (?). Either way you can't beat this rig or the price point. Nothing but good things to say about them.
Well made with lots of adjustability, great value for the money.
