They are a small can opener that was issued in the canned field rations of the United States Armed Forces from World War II to the 1980s. Originally designed for and distributed in the K-ration, it was later included in the C-ration. They make a great addition to any camping trip or survival bug-out bag.

These can openers were used for rations for the army. They are simple to use and small enough to not add to the equipment they had to carry every day. I got my first one from family that fought in the war. I'm happy to have several at such a reasonable price to share with my offspring. I have one on my keychain all the time.

I brought 50 pieces to give to the homeless during a food give-away. So, that they can use to open can goods. Very useful and they were thankful!!!
