Potable Aqua P.A. Plus 2 Step Water Treatment is a water purification system designed to make water safe for drinking in outdoor and emergency situations. The system uses two different tablets: Potable Aqua iodine tablets and Potable Aqua PA+ tablets.
The first step involves using the Potable Aqua iodine tablets to kill bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms in the water. These tablets release iodine into the water, which is effective at killing most pathogens.
The second step involves using the Potable Aqua PA+ tablets, which contain a compound called sodium dichloroisocyanurate. This compound is effective at killing bacteria, viruses, and cysts that may have survived the iodine treatment. The PA+ tablets also help to improve the taste and odor of the water.
To use the Potable Aqua P.A. Plus 2 Step Water Treatment, you simply add one iodine tablet and one PA+ tablet to one quart (one liter) of water and let it stand for 35 minutes. The tablets dissolve quickly, and the water is ready to drink after the treatment time has elapsed.
It is important to note that the Potable Aqua P.A. Plus 2 Step Water Treatment is not effective at removing chemical contaminants or sediment from the water. If you suspect that the water may be contaminated with chemicals, it is recommended to use a different method of water treatment or find a different source of water.
